Government Expresses its Disappointment in Bloomberg’s Article About Cyprus

Government spokesman Nikos Christodoulides, following the defamatory reportage on Cyprus under the title "EU Passports for Sale in Cyprus Lure Rich Russians", which presented Cyprus as a paradise for the Russians, expresses the strong disappointment of the government for this report, given, as he stresses, the close partnership between Cyprus and Bloomberg in what “we consider to be a strong relationship of respect and trust”. With this letter, the Cypriot government does not intent to apply pressure; however Bloomberg’s article in no way reflects Cypriot reality. Bloomberg republished the article on 25 May with the corresponding amendments.
