Georgiades: Balanced Budget Allows the Government to Give Back to Households and Businesses

The fact that the Cypriot economy no longer has deficits and the state budget functions on the basis of a balanced budget allows the government to give something back to households and businesses which had undertaken the heaviest burden of the crisis the economy suffered, Finance Minister Harris Georgiades said on July 14, the Cyprus News Agency reports.

Georgiades who was replying to questions during an event on the consequences of Brexit in Nicosia, organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the Association for Social Reform (OPEK) assured that the government’s economic goals remain unchanged.
