Aegean Airlines Collaborates with PayPal

PayPal, the leading global online payment platform, announces its partnership with Aegean Airlines - the largest airline in Greece.
From now on, Aegean Airlines ensures the convenience and security of online purchases by one of the leading online payment platforms in the world - PayPal. Aegean Airlines’ customers can now discover how PayPal can make purchasing tickets more convenient and seamless as the checkout process is much faster, smoother and mostly even simpler.
"In the near future, payments will be invisible, and thus they will not be considered as a tedious process, says Matt Komorowski, Managing Director of PayPal for Central and Eastern Europe. Therefore, with great enthusiasm, PayPal helps Aegean Airlines to enhance the customer experience, making the payment process faster and easier. Thanks to PayPal, whether you buy a domestic flight or an international flight, the customer can now focus solely on the quality of his travel experience."
PayPal wants to be at the forefront of the new payment experience for Aegean’s customers. All you need to do is sign up for a PayPal account is an email address and a password / access code. The overall registration takes less than a minute. Bearing in mind the ever-growing demand for mobile markets (in 2015, 28% of the 4.9 billion payments through the PayPal platform were processed via mobile devices), PayPal also provides those travelling by plane the payment service with a single click - the One Touch.
"At PayPal we know that as regards m-commerce, the faster the payment process, the higher the volume of sales, says Matt Komorowski. Customers using One Touch, need to log in only once in the PayPal account to pay for goods via mobile applications. After their initial log in, any other shopping attempt by using PayPal can be validated with a single click.
Aegean Airlines has recorded strong growth in passenger traffic in 2015, up 15% compared with 2014. The company-member of Star Alliance provides customers with lower prices and significantly improved interconnectivity. Aegean doubled its international network within two years and in 2016 added 14 new destinations from the central hub of Athens International Airport, including new markets such as Saudi Arabia, Holland, Ireland, etc.
Now, Aegean Airlines is able to offer even more to customers who pay with PayPal, as indicatively the Buyer Protection Program / Consumer Protection Program, which also cover intangible goods, such as music and games, and airfare.
