Juncker Discusses Cyprus Issue with Ban Ki-Moon in Brussels

Solving the Cyprus problem and the refugee crisis were at the top of the agenda at a meeting between European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker with the Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-Moon today at the Commission’s headquarters in Brussels.
Both the president of the Commission and the Secretary General expressed their conviction that a solution to the Cyprus problem must be found by 2016, as a result of the dynamic that has built up.
Juncker asked for a solution before the end of Ban Ki-Moon’s tenure, while the Secretary General spoke of a solution by the end of 2016, InCyprus reports.
