Cobalt Receives Operating Licence

Cobalt, Cyprus' new national airline, announced on June 14, that it has been awarded its operating licence by the Cypriot Air Transport Licensing Authority. The award of the licence clears the way for Cobalt to launch commercial services, after earlier receiving its air operators certificate from the civil aviation department on May 18.
Gregory Diacou the Chairman of Cobalt, announced, “This has been a long and at times difficult road but we are delighted that the new wings of Cyprus are now taking to the air. Cyprus has been without a national carrier for too long. A strong home airline is a vital part of our national infrastructure.”
