Tsipras to Inform Anastasiades on his Meeting with Erdogan

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is expected to inform Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades about his meeting on May 23, in Istanbul, with the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during Anastasiades’ visit to Athens on May 25, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
According to sources close to the Greek government, Tsipras and Erdogan expressed their support to the ongoing UN-led negotiations between Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci aiming to a settlement of the problem of Cyprus, divided since the Turkish invasion of the island in 1974.
