General Government Records €147.2M Surplus

The General Government recorded a surplus of €147.2 million, in the first quarter of 2016, as compared to a deficit of €19.0 million in the corresponding period of the previous year, the Statistical Service said on May 16.
 
On the basis of preliminary data, the total revenue amounted to €1626.8 million, increased by 8.4% as compared to the corresponding period of 2015, while total expenditure reached €1479.6 million, down by 2.7%.
