Fotiou: Turkey Must Resume its Responsibilities

The Greek Cypriot side has all the good will and determination for a compromise in the Cyprus talks, however Turkey must resume responsibilities and take all necessary decisions that will lead to substantial progress in the negotiations, Commissioner Fotis Fotiou has said.
Speaking on April 3 at an event for the unveiling of a bust of Stephanos Kyriakou who was killed during the 1974 Turkish invasion of the island and his remains were identified in July 2010, Fotiou said that Turkey must first agree to end the island`s occupation and to abandon its unacceptable positions as regard the solution.
