Martin Schulz: "The Parliament is More Visible than Ever"

The expanded role of the European Parliament has made the EU more democratic, said outgoing president Martin Schulz. In last speech to MEPs, he also warned about the rise of populist forces.

“Five years ago, after being elected as President, I said that it was my goal to make the European Parliament more visible, more audible and more influential,” he said.
