Deloitte Announces the Launch of Deloitte Academy

Deloitte announced the official launch of Deloitte Academy with its operations coming into action with immediate effect.

The announcement was made by Deloitte’s CEO, Christis Christoforou during a special event, held at Deloitte’s offices in Nicosia.

During the event, Christoforou noted that the establishment of Deloitte Academy is another important firm initiative that stimulates innovation and an upgrade in the firm’s service and product offerings as part of the organisation’s broader transformational journey. This also reflects the firm’s aspiration to become the undisputed leader in professional services. 

“Our vision for Deloitte Academy is, through its events and keynote speakers, to become a platform which will encourage conversation and knowledge sharing amongst peers, helping executives such as yourselves, stay on top of global market trends and best practices”, said Christoforou.

To mark the establishment of Deloitte Academy, Deloitte invited Herman Van Rompuy, President Emeritus of European Council as the guest of honour. Van Rompuy discussed his thoughts on Brexit and the impact on the European Union and the Banking and Financial Sector.

With Deloitte Academy, the firm aims to:

Deloitte Academy will be hosting learning events, workshops and conferences with renowned speakers to help participants develop both professionally and personally. Deloitte Academy will also develop learning programs to suit changing market needs, through its wide range of training offerings that focus on professional trainings on topics and issues related to accounting, audit, tax, financial, legal, corporate finance, human capital, etc. as well as specific industry related courses such as Banking and Financial Services, Insurance, Shipping Funds, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, etc.

In order to meet the specific requirements of the market and of its clients, Deloitte Academy will also be offering the option of customised and in-house trainings and seminars.

Stavros Panayides, Director in theNicosia Office, was appointed Head of Deloitte Academy, and will be the primary contact in terms of all related activities and events.  Panayides has considerable experience in the area of workshop facilitation both locally and abroad and also significant exposure to organising learning events through his involvement and active participation at the Learning Council of Deloitte University Europe.
Like Panayides, the Academy’s speakers and presenters possess extensive experience in their area of expertise and fully comprehend the business challenges that organisations face today in a highly complex and rapidly changing business and economic environment. 

Seminars offered through Deloitte Academy, are eligible for Continuous Professional Development (CPD) credits.
