Anastasiades Travels to Athens Ahead Of New Round of Talks in Mont Pelerin

  Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades is travelling to Athens on Wednesday, November 16, for consultations with the Greek Premier Alexis Tsipras and the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos ahead of the new round of talks with Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci at the Swiss resort of Mont Pelerin on Sunday, November 20, Cyprus News Agency reports.

The President and Akinci had a week long round of talks between November 7-11 in Mont Pelerin, under the aegis of the UN, focusing on the territorial aspect of the Cyprus problem and they decided to continue the dialogue on Sunday.

The meeting with Prime Minister Tsipras is scheduled for the afternoon followed by a meeting with President Pavlopoulos.

Later in the evening President Anastasiades will receive the President of the main opposition New Democracy party Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Tomorrow he will see the leaders of the other political parties.

Anastasiades is accompanied by FM Ioannis Kasoulides and Government Spokesman Nicos Christodoulides. He returns home tomorrow afternoon.
